“La Terrasse ancienne de l'Ouvèze”, historic land of the Gigondas appellation (120k years old).

Sol

Rolled limestone pebbles and sandy-clay matrix. Soils renowned for their fine Grenache grapes.

Atmosphère

At the foot of the village of Gigondas, in the shadow of the Dentelles de Montmirail, a selection of wind- and sun-beaten plots.

Travail

Hand-harvested in 15 kg crates. Overnight cold storage, manual sorting, de-stemming, then gravity-filling of the vats.

Vinification

In stainless steel vats, pre-fermentation cold maceration for 48 hours. Cuvaison of around 20-25 days with daily gentle pumping-over.

Élevage

Grenache in terracotta amphorae, Syrah in old 450-litre oak barrels. 18 months.
