A garnet-red colour, with an expressive nose reminiscent of Morello cherries and floral notes of peony and wisteria. Generous chocolate and pepper on the palate, with a fine, slightly spicy cinnamon finish.

The ‘Cône de la Font des Papes’, the historic land of the Gigondas appellation.

Sol

Unrolled limestone fragments and sandy-clay matrix. Ideal soil for Grenache.

Atmosphère

At the foot of the village of Gigondas, in the shadow of the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Cave, a single plot of land, beaten by the wind and the sun.

Travail

Harvested by hand in 15 kg crates. One night in cold storage, manual sorting, de-stemming, then filling the vats by gravity.

Vinification

In stainless steel vats, pre-fermentation cold maceration for 48 hours. Cuvaison of around 20-25 days with daily gentle pumping-over.

Élevage

12 months in stainless steel and concrete vats.
